In depth about the ways of roof certification

Introduction

Roofs are an important aspect of the house. Due to weather conditions such as summers, winters, rainfall, snowfall, thunderstorm lightning and storms cause the roofs to be damaged. Damaged roofs can be harmful as they may fall over people living in the house or people working in the house depending upon the personal and commercial usage of the house/place. To prevent such accidents, house protection laws have come up with legal ways in which the safety of the roof is ensured. This house protection law offers certification of the roof.

What is a roof certificate?

This roof certificate is a piece of a legal document which states that the roof of the house, whether commercial or residential, is without any damages and flaws and will last up to the years mentioned in the certification. Usually, 2-5 years are the validity of these certifications. These years depend upon the material used in the making of the roof. If any damage has been repaired, this is also mentioned in the certification.

This certification specifies the history of the health of the roof of the house and isn’t responsible for further possible damage, after the time of legality of the certification, due to an accident or natural calamities. This certification is mandatory for the seller to provide it to the buyer. Sadly, this roof certification is legal only in European and American regions. In Asian countries like India, it is ignored.

Protection by Insurance

Generally, these certifications are in the protection of either government or by the insurance companies depending upon the region of legality. Usually, if repair is minimal and there isn’t any harmful accident within the timeframe of the legality of the certification, whenever damage happens, it is documented by the members and recorded in form of necessary data such as pictures and videos, before and after. Bills and invoices are submitted to the insurance company or the government to receive a refund. If a serious accident is encountered, meaning, severe damage to the house or people living or working in the house, and assured policy cover is provided to the victims by the insurance company or the government.

Conclusion

It can be concluded that the roof certification is an important document that needs to be submitted when buying a house because it ensures safety from the accidents of the roof and protects the buyer rights. Implementation of these certifications should be introduced in Asian countries as well.
